Hythe The golf course on Hythe links has a long and proud history. The land between the sea and the Royal Military Canal was purchased in 1904 by South Eastern and Chatham Railways who owned the adjacent Imperial Hotel and ran a horse-drawn tram service along the promenade and across the links from Hythe Station.
